Description
Blogging and videoing for research impact - Part two

Building on the media awareness session, science broadcaster and
journalist Richard Hollingham will introduce audio and video podcasting.
With equipment provided, the course will cover how to make self-
contained podcasts, how to record decent audio and how to make short
videos of your work, including ‘on location’ or fieldwork pieces.

The workshop will include an introduction to audio production and
editing and video production suitable for uploading to channels such as
YouTube or the University’s own channel. You will get hands-on
experience with using audio recorders, Flip video cameras and a GoPro
camera. Note: this workshop does not cover in-depth video editing.

You must be able attend the 'Media Awareness Workshop' - part one of the
course on 11 July 2017.
