Academic staff and students wishing to increase their knowledge and
understanding of compliance with the University requirements for ethical
approval, and increase their knowledge and understanding of a range of
ethical issues that arise within research.
It is recommended that staff and students based in the Faculty of
Medicine and Health* and those wishing to apply for NHS ethical review
attend their Faculty session on Ethical Review if at all possible.

respect to offering payments for research participation.
Ethical Issues in Online Research – Ethics Reviewer Session
Academic staff who are Faculty Research Ethics Committee, Health
Institute Research Ethics Committee or NRES Ethics Committee members who
wish to explore these issues further and share experiences with
colleagues from different research disciplines on what constitutes best
Ethical Issues in using Research Assistants and Translators
Open to Research Students and Postdoctoral/Early Career Research Staff
in all Faculties.

Research with Human Participants
Staff and students wishing to increase their knowledge and understanding
of the ethical issues in research with human participants.
