Basic SAP navigation techniques are not covered in this training course.
If you are totally new to SAP it is recommended that you attend the SAP
navigation course first.
OUTLINE
SAP has been used for central HR functions since the University of Leeds
implemented it in 1999. Since then there have been more functions
available to departmental users. The Managers Desktop role enables
reporting at both personal and departmental level, Sickness Absence
enables departmental sickness recording and reporting.
The rollout of HR functionality to departments not only consolidated the
recording of sickness and holidays into a single system but through
employee maintenance will greatly improve the quality of data we hold in
the SAP system.

Employee Maintenance covers the following functions:
1. Updating the Employees Home Address
2. Maintaining the Employees Emergency Contact details
3. Recording Objects on loan
4. Recording Departmental Responsibilities
5. Reporting on the above
The functionality has been deployed using the Managers Desktop
transaction in SAP. This has been done as many people use this for
Sickness Absence Administration and also HR Managers reports.
