This session will be delivered online via Teams.
If you're applying for jobs in academia, or applying for research
funding, you'll need a strong CV. However, academic CVs have very
particular formats, completely different from non-academic CVs. If
you've never written one, it can be hard to know where to begin.
In this interactive workshop, we'll consider two types of academic CV:
the traditional academic CV, and the new narrative CV. We’ll look at
both formats, compare their similarities and differences, and give you
the chance to identify the areas of your CV which need development.
In this workshop, you'll learn how to:
• Structure and format academic CVs (both traditional and narrative
styles)
• Effectively communicate your skills and experiences to an academic
audience
• Tailor your CV to specific opportunities.
Pre-work Please bring the most recent copy of your CV (academic or
otherwise).
