Description
OBJECTIVE:
This online session will introduce you to the key features to help you
get started with writing your transfer report or your thesis chapters
and includes hints & tips.
PREREQUISITES:
This session is part of the "Word for Thesis Part 1 (Online)"
programme. Part1A MUST be completed before attending the this session.
FORMAT:
The online course is delivered by a facilitator completely online via
Microsoft Teams, therefore you will need a stable internet connection to
join the session.
The demonstrations are performed using Word 365 for MAC throughout the
course. There is an equivalent session for Windows users.
SESSION TOPICS:-
• Insert a picture and add captions to objects including the chapter
number
• Create your own caption labels
• Generate a list of figures
• Deal with long caption descriptions
• Cross reference a figure
• Update caption numbers and list of figures
