Session brief:
We all bring a cultural lens to our coaching and mentoring: our
assumptions about what good communication looks like, how ambition
should be expressed, what a "good" coaching/mentoring session feels
like, etc. Most of the time, we don't even know we're doing it.
This interactive lunchtime session on invites you to look at your own
practice through a different lens. Through real-world scenarios, honest
reflection, and peer discussion, we'll explore how cultural dimensions,
from power and identity to time and emotion, shape the relationships we
build with our mentees and coachees.
You'll leave with a clearer sense of your own cultural defaults, a set
of practical tools to adapt your approach, the confidence to create
spaces where every mentee feels valued and empowered, and one specific
commitment to take into your next session.
No prior knowledge of cross-cultural theory needed, just an open mind
and a willingness to be curious about yourself.
