Description

The current landscape for Higher Education creates uncertainty and
ambiguity about careers and career decisions. Coaching and mentorship
offers a powerful source of support for people to navigate this
uncertainty and develop their career resilience, but coaches and mentors
are often experiencing the same uncertainty and complexity the people
they are supporting are encountering. Developing career resilience can
help mentees and coachees navigate uncertainty, recover from setbacks,
and think creatively about their options. This session will focus on how
mentors and coaches can support people to develop career resilience.

This session will explore:

- What career resilience is and why it's important

- How mentors and coaches can support people to develop career
resilience

- Recognising the limits of your role as a mentor or coach for
supporting career development

- How we support ourselves as coaches and mentors

This session will be delivered by Ruth Winden, Careers with Research
Consultant in ODPL.
