Description
Pre-requisites: None

Pre-work requirements: If you have the time or inclination before we
meet, you might want to look at this website:
https://www.valuescardsort.com/
We will be thinking about values that are important to us when we meet,
and if you are interested or want a head start, this is a great
resource.

Change is inevitable—but how we meet it can shape our wellbeing,
confidence, and sense of agency. This training offers a practical,
psychologically informed space to explore how we respond to uncertainty,
and how we can build resilience in the face of shifting roles, systems,
and expectations.

Designed for staff navigating organisational change, transitions, or
personal upheaval, the session blends therapeutic insight with workplace
relevance. Drawing on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT),
participants will explore tools for grounding, values-led decision-
making, and emotional regulation.

Through interactive exercises, reflective prompts, and optional
discussion, participants will:

Recognise typical responses to change—including avoidance, overwhelm,
and over-adaptation

Learn ACT-based strategies to support psychological flexibility and
self-compassion

Identify personal values and anchors that support resilience and clarity

Explore practical ways to create safety, agency, and connection during
times of flux

This session is suitable for anyone experiencing change—whether in role,
team, organisation, or personal life. It offers a supportive, non-
clinical space to reflect, recalibrate, and reconnect with what matters.
Learning and teaching methods: An interactive workshop.
