This workshop will be delivered In Person on Campus
When leading and managing research projects it can be a challenge to
navigate the support available to help you in fulfilling your
responsibilities as the Principal Investigator (PI). The aim of this
interactive workshop is to allow you to explore your responsibilities as
a leader and manager of a research project, identify the role of
professional services in supporting you in your role and to formulate
how you approach the challenges of leading a research project and/or
team.
Through discussion and practical scenarios, you will reflect on real-
world issues such as managing performance, ensuring research integrity,
balancing project delivery with team wellbeing and your own priorities.
This will help you in creating a positive research culture that is
productive, effective, efficient, equitable, inclusive, and sustainable.
By the end of the session you should be able to better:
- Identify your responsibilities as a principal investigator.
- Identify practical steps to strengthen how you approach leading
projects and teams, dealing with the challenges that emerge and, drawing
on support from university services.
