Please note this session will be delivered in person on Campus

This module is aimed at all travellers and will give you the knowledge
to anticipate and identify potential risks and hazards when travelling.
You will learn how to increase your situational awareness when moving
through different environments. The course focuses on individuals and
groups and encourages them to assess their journey in phases and act
accordingly to their findings.

• Hotel and accommodation security and its vulnerabilities.
• Creating a support network and digital safety group.
• Be prepared for emergencies and influence people around you to
help you in a crisis.
• Why a conference is a place to be more aware.
• What your business profile says about you.
• Identifying security gaps in your travel planning.
• Take steps to protect devices and personal/work information.

This session will be delivered by Dougie Wright. Dougie has an extensive
portfolio of security and training qualifications gained from his
military career and has expertise in a wide variety of situational
awareness practices derived from planning and delivering numerous
programmes. He has worked closely with UK government departments, the
Royal Household, high net worth families, and universities to advise on
how to plan, resource and implement duty of care practices to educate
and empower individuals to mitigate identified risks.
