Description
UKCGE Recognised Associate Research Supervisor (RARS) Award Programme
acknowledges the essential contributions of postdoctoral researchers,
technical staff, and professional services staff to doctoral
supervision. This award celebrates individuals who provide vital
supervisory support, even when they are not formally part of supervisory
teams due to institutional or contractual constraints.
These workshops include four guided writing workshops, each designed to
provide reflection, peer discussion, and practical guidance to help you
prepare your application submissions for the UKCGE Recognised Associate
Research Supervisor (RARS) Award Programme.
During these workshops, participants will reflect on their supervisory
practices and experiences, compare supervisory styles with peers, and
identify their key contributions to research supervision over the last
five years. These sessions also provide guidance on selecting a referee,
preparing for supervisor observation, and structuring an effective
application. By providing an open and supportive environment, these
workshops allow participants to share ideas, ask questions, and gain
insights into their supervisory roles.
