Description
This course will take place on campus.
In this interactive workshop, you will explore what leadership entails,
identify your own leadership style, and consider how to apply leadership
skills in a research context.
The session is particularly relevant for research staff whose work
involves collaboration with others—whether through managing projects,
coordinating teams, or influencing research directions. You may already
have some leadership experience or occasional opportunities to lead, but
want to strengthen your confidence and extend your toolkit.
Note:
• You must attend both days.
• There will be an online peer group meeting between sessions.
• You will asked to complete short activities between sessions.
By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:
• Describe your leadership style.
• Prioritise key leadership skills.
• Formulate approaches for purposeful interaction with others.
Benefits of attending:
• Gain deeper awareness of your leadership perspective.
• Be better positioned to take on leadership roles.
• Enhance your effectiveness as a collaborator.
