Description
Please note: this session will take place in person on campus.
This workshop is designed for experienced mentors who want to reflect on
and enhance their mentoring skills. In this session you will:
• Examine how psychological safety can be created in mentoring and
identify ways you as a mentor can balance support and challenge to
create psychological safety for mentees.
• Consider how differences in perspective impact the mentoring process
and know some tools to aid reflexive practice in mentoring.
• Increase your awareness of your strengths and areas for development as
mentors and identify some next steps to continue your development.
The workshop is open to all staff who are mentors, and you do not need
to be part of the University-wide Mentoring Scheme to sign up for these
workshops.
Pre-requisites
• You must have mentored at least one mentee in the last 12 months to
