Description
Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) is an approach that aims to
align research processes with societal values, needs, and expectations,
fostering ethical and sustainable outcomes.
It involves engaging diverse stakeholders, improving foresight,
recognising potential impacts and promoting transparency throughout the
research lifecycle.
Considering the RRI aspects of research is an increasingly important
requirement from funding bodies, this workshop will help you navigate
and apply these principles to your research projects.
As a result of attending, you will be able to:
• Describe why there is a focus on responsible research and innovation
(RRI)
• Apply the UKRI AREA framework to discuss research and consider
broader societal impacts
• Examine how your research fits into the global context and policy
landscape
• Create a stakeholder map for your own research area and prioritise
actions to engage diverse stakeholders
• Identify actions you can take to improve RRI within your own
projects and/or future research endeavours.
If the course is full, please register on our waiting list by
