Description

This short, online, self-paced course focuses on the effective use of
content notes in higher education and research settings. Designed for
teaching staff, researchers (including PGRs), support staff and
students, it explores how content notes help create safe, inclusive, and
respectful learning and research environments.

You will learn the purpose of content notes, how they differ from
"trigger warnings," and how they can enhance audience engagement.
Through case studies and examples, you’ll explore best practice for
addressing sensitive topics, develop strategies to manage "hot
moments" in academic settings and how to support students opting to
research emotionally demanding themes.

This is a continuously available resource and places are unlimited, you
can sign up whenever it is convenient for you. Once you have signed up
you will be given access to the online course in Minerva.
