Description
Do you work in a role that is integral to the success of research but
you aren’t an academic or a member of research staff (research
assistant/fellow/etc)? Then you are probably a research adjacent - other
terms like research enabler may also describe you. Would you like to
explore options for your career development and are currently a Grade 7
or 8? Then this workshop could be just what you need.

We are inviting colleagues who work with our researcher and academic
communities to explore their career aspirations, strategies,
opportunities, and obstacles. You may work in a central professional
service, a Faculty, a School, a centre/institute, or a research
programme / project. This session offers a safe space to explore the
topic, share approaches and experiences, and identify suitable next
steps.

Our facilitator is Dr Sarah McLusky, a leader in the field of research
adjacents. To find out more about Sarah’s work, please visit her website
and podcast https://sarahmclusky.com/research-adjacent-podcast

Please note that this workshop is open to Grade 7 and Grade 8 colleagues
in the first instance.

Ruth Winden (OD&PL) will also be in attendance.
