responsibility. The audience should be more of an established manager
who has a strong understanding of the key responsibilities that a
manager has at the University of Leeds.

Description
This session will be delivered online via Zoom

Introduction to Coaching for Managers will provide a grounding for
managers; ‘What is Coaching?’ and ‘How can I use Coaching in my role?’.
Providing some key coaching skills, the session will help managers
become flexible in their style and use coaching to both support and
develop their team.

At the end of the session colleagues will be able to:
- Understand what coaching is and where it can be used
- Establish how they are able to use coaching when managing teams
- Provide key coaching skills which can help you be flexible in your
style

This will be an interactive session, so please be prepared to contribute
throughout. We encourage you to!

Tutor: John Drysdale

John is a speaker, coach, facilitator and trainer as well as Managing
Director of No Guru ltd, a learning & development consultancy who are
close partners to our OD&PL team.

John enjoys helping people be the best version of themselves and has
coached and trained thousands of people to communicate, present,
influence and engage.

Coaching is another of his specialisms and he has trained many people to
become coaches, providing many with an ILM qualification in coaching and
mentoring.

With a particular interest in ‘relationship development’ John is a
Director Consultant for Business Network International which helps
business owners across the globe to build networks and relationships to
achieve business goals.

A keen runner and musician in his free time, he wants others to be
successful and have time to do the things they love doing most.
