Description Prerequisites:
None
Preparatory work:
Attendees need to self enrol on the Getting Started with Minerva
introductory organisation prior to attendance, and will be asked to
review the ‘Minerva Basics’ and ‘Navigating Minerva – outside of a
module’ section to prepare for the session (time required 15-20
minutes). Instructions on how to do this will be sent in the Outlook
invitation. Aims:
The overall aim is to prepare staff for building resources in their
Minerva modules. This session is an overview of the core functionality,
focussing on how to add key content types.
The session will cover:
- Layout of Minerva modules
- The Minerva module templateKey methods for adding/editing content
- Key methods for adding/editing content
Outcomes:
After the session, participants should be able to:
1. Have a broad understanding of the key functionality of Ultra Course

2. Understand the Minerva module template
3. Know where support resources are to assist them following the session
4. Know who to ask if they need further help following the session
Content and format:
The session will be a mixture of presentations and demos with plenty of
opportunities for questions.
The session will be led by staff in the Digital Education Systems
Team.
