This workshop will look at how you can develop your vocabulary so that
you can better understand what you read and write more clearly,
precisely and effectively.
In this workshop we will look at:
• what you need to know to really know a word;
• examples of common types of mistakes in student writing for you to
avoid;
• how to know which words are most useful to learn and to use; and
• resources you can use to further develop your word knowledge for
academic reading and writing.
