Description
In this workshop we will look at common word errors in academic writing,
what you need to know to use words precisely in your own work, and how
to continue to develop your academic vocabulary effectively.

Referring to a workshop booklet we will work both as a class and in
small groups, and there will also be an opportunity to look at your
work, so if possible, please bring a past or current assignment to the
session.

This workshop includes:

  • Increase your awareness of how to use words precisely in written
    work

  • To further develop your vocabulary building strategies and knowledge
    of useful academic vocabulary resources

  • To be able to check and proofread your own work for word errors more
    effectively.
