Overall aim of course
Helping Colleagues Look after themselves during COVID-19 - Looking
Forward Changes in work circumstances caused by COVID-19 have required
everyone to re-assess the way they work. We have all been learning to
use new technologies, plan our time effectively and work in new and
different ways. In achieving these things, the ability to look after
ourselves, identify and get our needs met are paramount to ensure our
sustained health and wellbeing and the quality of our work. This
session, to be facilitated by Marcus Hill from Organisational
Development & Professional Learning, is designed to help us meet this
need. This 1hr session, which will be facilitated via MS Teams, aims to
help colleagues work through the experience of COVID-19 , share
experiences, normalise the ups and downs they may feel and discuss
strategies for managing themselves effectively. The session also
encourages colleagues to embed ways of working that feel good and
celebrate anything they are doing which is new and helpful.

Intended outcomes and benefits from attending:

The session will provide an opportunity to: Discuss the ways everyone
has found to work; Explore how we are managing the very changed external
environments; Explore methods for hanging onto ways of working that feel
good; Celebrate anything we are doing which is new and helpful

Learning and teaching methods: An interactive online workshop.

Tutors: Colleagues from ODPL and Staff Counselling and Psychological
Support Service will facilitate this event

Adapted Personal Resilience Programme for 2020 -2021

We have selected some of the workshops from our previous programme that
are particularly relevant to the stresses, strains and uncertainty in
our personal and professional lives associated with the coronavirus
pandemic. We have identified that one of the consequences of increased
working from home has been to impact colleagues work-life balance. This
impact may continue as work patterns involving a combination of working

from home and on campus evolve; and as we learn to manage periodic and
localised lock downs. You can obtain more information and sign up to
attend these online workshops by e-mailing peopledev@leeds.ac.uk. To get
the most out of your workshop please try to allocate a quiet private
space for yourself to participate and try to avoid booking anything
directly for at least 20 minutes before or after the workshop. These
selected workshops have been adapted to be offered online via MS TEAMS.
For anyone new to MS TEAMS there will be an opportunity to learn how to
navigate around the application. Further University guidance on using MS
Teams can be found here: https://it.leeds.ac.uk/it/?
