OBJECTIVE:
This online session will introduce you to the key features to help you
get started with writing your transfer report or your thesis chapters
and includes hints & tips.
PREREQUISITES:
This session is part of the "Word for Thesis Part 1 (Online)"
programme. Part1A MUST be completed before attending the this session.
FORMAT:
The webinar is delivered by a facilitator completely online and the
"virtual classroom" is accessed through the internet. You will not need
any special software in order to attend the online webinar. The
sessions are conducted via the internet and can be attended from any
computer
that has an internet connection.
Before the session the tutor will send you a link and instructions of
how to join the live session. The software used is Blackboard
Collaborate and the tutor will provide a tour of how to use the software
before the session begins.

• Adding Captions to objects including the chapter number
• Generate a list of Figures
• Exclude caption text from list of figures
• Create Cross references to captions
• Update List of Figures
• Using Autotext to create captions
