COURSE FORMAT:

This 3 hr (2 x 1.5hr) online course builds upon the material covered in
SPSS Beginners and provides greater detail of aspects of data handling
in SPSS. The course will mix teaching with demonstrations and hands-on
exercises.

PREREQUISITES:

The ‘SPSS’ courses are designed to be undertaken in order. Participants
MUST have attended the SPSS for Beginners course prior to applying for
the SPSS Intermediate course.

CONTENT:

• Transform Variables using the Recode procedure
• Transform Variables using the Compute Variables procedure
• Use Select Cases and Split File commands
• Use the Weight Cases procedure
• Use the Explore procedure to assess normality of data
• Transform variables to achieve normality
• Handle multiple response data


DURATION: 3hrs (2 X 1.5HR SESSIONS)
