Description
OBJECTIVE:
This online session will introduce you to the key features to help you
get started with writing your transfer report or your thesis chapters
and includes hints & tips with formatting and layout and how to use the
University templates.

PREREQUISITES:
This session is the first in the "Word for Thesis Part 1 (Online)"
programme and MUST be completed before attending the other sessions.

FORMAT:
The online course is delivered by a facilitator completely online via
Microsoft Teams. The "virtual classroom" is accessed through the
internet. You will not need any special software in order to attend the
online webinar. The sessions are conducted via the internet and can be
attended from any computer that has an internet connection.


Windows 10 & Word 365 for PC are used throughout the course. If you
are using Word for mac, you may find that not all of these features are
available on mac.


SESSION TOPICS:-
• Document Structure
• Download the University Template
• How to store and use the University Template
• Format content using built in styles pre-defined by the templates
• Navigate a large document using the Navigation Pane
• Attach the University template to existing documents
• Modify template styles
• Generate a table of contents
