What is GlueViz
GlueViz is a an open-source data visualization package, which runs on
desktops, or laptops, under Windows, MacOS and Linux/Unix. It provides
a graphical means of exploring relationships within large datasets.

1. Explore data via statistical graphics such as scatter plots,
histograms and images.
2. Linkage between graphics allows subsets selected in one view to
be propagated to the others.
3. Scriptable: additional features can be added using Python,
without having to learn too much programming.

Course Outline
1. Overview of user interface, drag and drop, subsets.
2. How to load data, visualize, define subsets, and save subsets;
input & output file formats.
3. How to use the built-in visualisation tools: histogram .... table
4. Generate multiple related views to present data subsets, unions
intersections etc.
5. Comparing and merging multiple data sets
6. Interactive programming via GluVis's interactive IPython terminal
7. Export Python code for generating plots.
8. Develop your own visualisation tools in Python.
9. Q&A on issues around your own data.

Prerequisites:
Experience with Python programming would help for the later parts of the
course, but in not essential.

Software Required
• Anacond3 with GlueViz and Spyder installed.
• MS Excel
• Notepad++
