Description
In this workshop, we will consider how the collections of archival
and
primary source material right here on campus can be used and analysed
for your research projects . With a focus on Leeds Special Collections
we will consider what questions could be asked of this type of material.
You will also develop skills in how you discover the relevant material
within these collections and other archives.

NB – you will need to bring a device with internet access if possible –
laptop, smartphone etc.

In this workshop we will:

• explore a variety of original archival and primary source material
and consider how they can be used and analysed for your research
projects;
• use a variety of online sources to discover archival collections
and interrogate archive catalogues; and
• learn how archive collections are structured and referenced to
help searching.
