How to build confidence when working with confidential / sensitive /
restricted data.
This 2.5 hour workshop will identify a suite of data safeguards to be
applied to data with restrictions on dissemination.
Workshop Aims / Outcomes
By the end of this session participants will be better able to:
-Safeguard research data to manage risk
-Describe issues that impact / affect research data sharing
-Identify a suite of university policies that support safeguarding
research data
-Articulate research data sharing expectations and researcher
responsibilities
-Understand the relationship between research data, ethics and law
-Identify dataset identifiers, disclosure / re-identification
considerations
-Undertake a set of practical actions and adopt a range of tools that
facilitate safer research data sharing
-Apply the workshop aims and objectives to their research data
management practice
Important: Spaces on this workshop are limited; please only book if
you can definitely attend and are able to stay for the full 2.5hr
duration, with a 4.30pm finish.
