Suitability
This workshop is primarily designed to support
international PGRs in the early stages of their PhD who would benefit
from undertaking a review of basic English grammar.

Pre-requisites: Early-stage PGRs who would benefit from undertaking a
review of basic English grammar.

You must complete this workshop (and the Grammar B workshop) in order to
enrol on the Core Language Skills 1: Academic Writing course.

(NB Grammar A is also offered as an integral part of the intensive Core
Language Skills 1: Academic Writing Course)

Description
In this workshop you will undertake a review of BASIC grammar, in order
to help you improve the accuracy of your writing at sentence level. You
will also practise strategies for checking your writing to ensure
effective communication and consider the effort and time required to
produce accurate text.
