Description
COURSE OBJECTIVE:
This course aims to help researchers build on their existing knowledge
of NVivo for qualitative data management & Analysis.

COURSE FORMAT:
The course is hands-on led by a tutor with the opportunity to practice
the techniques by completing tasks and exercises supplied by the course
tutor.

PREREQUISITES:
This course is designed to follow on from the ‘NVivo Part 1’ so only
those who have attended this session will be permitted to attend this
course.

CONTENT
• Run Word Frequency Query to obtain a list of the most frequently
used words in sources, and then use the visualizations tools associated
with it
• Run Text Search Query to see if an idea or topic is prevalent in
the sources and then create thematic nodes from the results
• Create Case Nodes to establish the connection between different
kinds of data (i.e. unit of analysis)
• Create Framework Matric – Framework matrices provide a convenient
way of summarising or condensing your source materials in a grid that
has rows for cases and columns for themes
• Visualise project data (sources & nodes ) using Models, Charts
and Graphs
