Description
In this workshop, we will discuss how academic writing differs
stylistically from other genres. Looking at examples, we will identify
the features of strong academic writing. During the workshop, you will
consider how a piece of academic writing could be improved. If possible,
please bring a sample of your own work to work on.

This workshop includes:

  • Reflect on own writing skills, considering your writing strengths
    and what can be improved

  • Identify the characteristics of good academic writing

  • Identify ways of developing own academic writing.
