Description
An introduction to managing and sharing research data and a chance to
discuss some of your own data management challenges and solutions.
Primarily aimed at PhD candidates but all welcome.

Workshop Aims / Outcomes

By the end of this session participants will be better able to:

* Write a data management plan.
* Deposit data with Research Data Leeds.
* Describe how managing research data effectively will decrease the
risks of data loss and increase professional impact.
* Describe the forms research data takes and the role of contextual
documentation and metadata in enabling data reuse.
* Describe University of Leeds and research funder data management
expectations.
* Evaluate how, when and if to share data.
* Identify sources of information and guidance on managing research data
effectively, including additional training courses.
