Description
An introduction to managing and sharing research data and a chance to
discuss some of your own data management challenges and solutions. You
will start to draft a data management plan for your research during the
session.

By the end of this workshop, participants will be better able to:

• Write a data management plan
• Manage research data and understand the benefits of good data
management
• Understand and meet the research data expectations of research
funders and the University of Leeds
• Describe the forms research data can take and consider the data
lifecycle
• Understand the role of documentation and metadata in data
discovery and reuse
• Evaluate whether data should be shared and understand when and
how this can be done
