Description
This interactive workshop focuses on ways to get your research noticed.
We will discuss the reasons why researchers need to promote their
research and you will learn about some of the techniques and tools you
can use to make your own research more visible.
By the end of the session you will be able to:
• Explain the reasons why it is important to promote yourself and
your research
• Apply key tools and techniques to increase the visibility of
yourself and your research, including getting an ORCID ID, using social
media, and attending conferences
• Describe the different ways of making research and data available
open access
• Explain what bibliometrics and altmetrics are and use these
techniques to track the impact of your research
