Description
How to build confidence when working with confidential / sensitive /
restricted data.

This 2.5 hour workshop will identify a suite of data safeguards to be
applied to data with restrictions on dissemination.

Workshop Aims / Outcomes

By the end of this session participants will be better able to:
- Safeguard research data to manage risk
- Describe issues that impact / affect research data sharing
- Identify a suite of university policies that support safeguarding
research data
- Articulate research data sharing expectations and researcher
responsibilities
- Understand the relationship between research data, ethics and law
- Identify dataset identifiers, disclosure / re-identification
considerations
- Undertake a set of practical actions and adopt a range of tools
that facilitate safer research data sharing
- Apply the workshop aims and objectives to their research data
management practice
