COURSE BOOKING GUIDELINES:

COURSE OBJECTIVE:
This course focuses on some of the more advanced techniques available in
PowerPoint and throughout the session you will explore an alternative
approach to presenting in PowerPoint to give you flexibility and control
over the slides and their content. Using hyperlinks, transitions and
animations you will create a dynamic presentation as opposed to a
traditional text filled linear slide show.

This course is not suitable for beginners and it is expected that you
have basic experience of using PowerPoint before attending this course.

COURSE FORMAT:
The course is hands-on with a tutor leading you through each of the
processes. Practice tasks are included in the session to help you
master the features of PowerPoint. Participants are encouraged to bring
thier own files to the session in order to practice the technqiues on
relevant data.

PREREQUISITES:
Participants should be familiar with PowerPoint basics and should be
able to complete the following tasks:-

• Create a new presentation
• Add slides
• Add Text, images, shapes, tables & chart objects to a slide
• Change slide layout
• Format & modify text, images, shapes, tables & charts

CONTENT
• Manipulate Slide Objects (e.g working with multiple images on a
slide)
• Using SmartArt graphics as an alternative to text
• Using Media objects (sound & movie files)
• Controlling slide Design and using the university PowerPoint
template
• Add slide transitions
• Animate slide objects
• Make global changes to the presentation using the master slides
• Create slide show navigation
• Create multiple slide shows from a single presentation using
custom shows
• Generate handouts from presentation slides
