Considers the ethical issues in research with children. It will focus on
the principles of consent and assent and if so, how we can gain informed
consent from children. It will look at levels of autonomy and consider
the issues of best practice in this area.

Participants will have a better understanding of the ethical issues, and
will be better equipped to address them. They will also have the
opportunity to share experiences and identify sources of support and
guidance.

Feedback from previous participants:
“The examples are very useful to help understand some of the delicate
issues in research amongst children.”
