professional recognition of their teaching and / or support for learning
through the University of Leeds Professional Recognition in Student
Education (PRiSE) scheme, successful completion of which results in the
award of Associate Fellowship, Fellowship or Senior Fellowship of the
Higher Education Academy (HEA).

Aims
This briefing aims to provide you with sufficient information about the
UKPSF and the PRiSE scheme to make an informed decision about your
eligibility to apply for Associate Fellowship, Fellowship or Senior
Fellowship of the HEA.

Outcomes
This briefing will provide you with an opportunity to:
• discover how you can apply for individual professional
recognition of your student education practice through the PRiSE scheme,
• gain an understanding of the level of experience required to make
an application,
• make an informed decision about which category of Fellowship to
apply for.

This one-hour information session will cover the following broad topics:
• The UKPSF
• Benefits of achieving professional recognition
• The Leeds context
• The application process

Preparatory Work
Please familiarise yourself with the UK Professional Standards Framework
for Teaching and Supporting Learning in HE (UKPSF) prior to the session.
