- Know the definition of terms such as accident hazard, risk,
likelihood, severity.
- Know the approach to risk assessment process.
- Have an understanding of the 5 steps to risk assessment.
- Know the different types of hazards.
- Be familiar with the hierarchy of control
- Be able to identify the different categories of people who may be
harmed.
- Know how to calculate the risk level attached to a particular
hazard.
- Know how to communicate the risk assessment findings.
- Recognise the conditions prompting a review of risk assessment.
- Be able to break down processes into tasks.
