Description

By the end of the course attendees will:


  • Be aware of the legal background to risk assessment.

  • Know the definition of terms such as accident hazard, risk,
    likelihood, severity.

  • Know the approach to risk assessment process.

  • Have an understanding of the 5 steps to risk assessment.

  • Know the different types of hazards.

  • Be familiar with the hierarchy of control

  • Be able to identify the different categories of people who may be
    harmed.

  • Know how to calculate the risk level attached to a particular
    hazard.

  • Know how to communicate the risk assessment findings.

  • Recognise the conditions prompting a review of risk assessment.

  • Be able to break down processes into tasks.
