Description

By the end of the course attendees will be able to:


  • Understand the importance of planning manual handling tasks,
    especially those related to the attendees' activities.
  • Demonstrate and practice good manual handling techniques.

  • Have a greater awareness of possible risks related to poor lifting
    techniques and their likely consequences on the human body.

  • Understand the importance or risk assessment and of following
    recommended control measures.


NOTE: An important part of the course will be spent on lifting and
moving of relatively light weight items to practice the technique -
attendees should therefore wear comfortable clothes. We advise that you
wear trousers and wear or bring flat shoes for the practical exercises.
