Aimed at all staff with an interest in research and innovation, this
session provides an overview of the University research and innovation
strategic context.

Learning Method:
The session includes presentations by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor
(Research and Innovation) and colleagues from Organisational Development
and Professional Learning, with an opportunity for questions and
discussion.

Related Courses:
The session is one of four that form the University’s introductory
programme for recently-appointed staff. Each session is held a number of
times during the academic year. Staff can attend any or all of the
sessions, in any order, to suit their role, needs and timetable. Overall
the programme offers opportunities to learn about University strategy,
the support available to staff, and key developments in student
education, research and innovation; to engage in discussion with the
speakers; and to meet other recently-appointed staff from across the
University.
