Description
Session Overview:
This session aims to welcome all new staff to the University and offers
the opportunity to learn about the University strategy, vision and
values directly from the Vice-Chancellor.

Learning Method:
The session includes a presentation by the Vice-Chancellor, followed by
questions and discussion.

Pre-work Requirements:
Participants will be sent a link to some slides on University structure
to help understand how the University is structured.

Related Courses:
The session is one of four that form the University’s introductory
programme for recently-appointed staff. Each session is held a number of
times during the academic year. Staff can attend any or all of the
sessions, in any order, to suit their role, needs and timetable. Overall
the programme offers opportunities to learn about University strategy,
the support available to staff, and key developments in student
education, research and innovation; to engage in discussion with the
speakers; and to meet other recently-appointed staff from across the
University.
