Laser Safety Training

COURSE PREREQUISITES

Prior to attending this practical all candidates must:

Undertake the Laser Safety e-learning module (instructions to enrol on
the module are at http://wsh.leeds.ac.uk/info/218/training) and register
on the VIRGIL system at http://rsid.leeds.ac.uk/lasers/ .

PRACTICAL SESSION

This session lasts approximately one hour and includes:

- review of laser safety and laser classification
- constructing a laser experiment
- safety considerations during alignment
- discussion of questions or issues relating to your laser application.
