Description
Aim:
This session will support colleagues to plan for successful student
participation and engagement in their lectures.

Outcomes:
By the end of this workshop participants will be better able to:
• plan delivery of lectures to promote student learning
• structure lectures to increase student participation
• use audio, video and other technology and media to increase
engagement in lectures.

Content:
This session is an interactive workshop which considers a number of
elements when preparing lectures. The order is not one of priority,
rather of practicality: purpose; audience; venue; structure; interest;
verbal aspects; nonverbal aspects; audio-visual aids; interaction;
confidence.
