Description
Why create videos for academic purposes to share with peers, tutors,
supervisors, friends and future employees? Join us for this workshop
during Digital Student Week to find out more.

By the end of the session you should be better able to:
• understand the benefits of creating and sharing multimedia video
content;
• upload content from a mobile device;
• edit content with Mediasite;
• publish and share content.

How do I need to prepare?

During the workshop you will be expected to record yourself for up to a
minute (no longer) talking about one of the following:
1) Why I love studying at the University of Leeds?
2) Why I love Leeds?
3) Why I love studying (state your subject)?
4) Life as a student at the University of Leeds?
5) Why I love social media?

The best "talking head" video will be published to VideoLeeds and
students will receive a prize!

Please note: Although we will provide either a laptop or
mobile device for participants to use, it may be useful to bring along
your own device that is able to record a short video.
