Description
The course will help participants, from all disciplines, to understand
how to apply these skills within the context of academia.

Participants will be able to discuss the role these skills have with an
academic career and reflect on how well they are using these skills
currently. They will also use an exercise taken from academic life to
practice the skills and receive feedback on their effectiveness.

Review video case studies of academics displaying these skills to
develop a deeper understanding of how these skills are useful in
academia. Understanding how their personality may influence the type of
innovation they engage with and where in the innovation process they
prefer operating. A detailed activity which allows the skills to be
practiced and reflected on.

Dr Ged Hall works with researchers from a range of disciplines to help
them to develop the skills they need to produce and implement action
plans that will deliver impact from their research. He has worked in
academic and industrial research in a range of roles and industry
sectors.
