Description
Are you considering taking a good idea and turning it into a Grant
Proposal?

This introductory workshop is suitable for all members of staff involved
in or supporting research who want to submit a standard grant proposal
in all subjects. It is aimed at individuals planning to write a proposal
for submission within the next 12 months.

Different parts of the application will be read by different audiences.
In this session we will focus on the writing and structure of your
proposal to ensure it addresses the reviewing criteria and sells both
yourself as a researcher and your proposal. It will include information
and tips from people with experience in writing and reviewing
applications.

The course will cover:
• Who reads the proposal
• What reviewers are looking for
• How to give your proposal a clear and concise structure
• Writing your Case for Support to address the reviewing criteria
• Engaging readers and being memorable
• Common pitfalls
This workshop is not designed to help you develop ideas into a proposal.
There is a separate workshop for this.
