Description
Context:
Through our shared value of academic excellence and with research-based
learning at the core of the Leeds Curriculum, there is an important
opportunity within the University to strengthen and develop evidence
based student education practice. Through the activities of Leeds
Enhancing Educational Practice Network and discipline groups such as
PRISM and ULBERG colleagues are supported to engage in scholarship.

Aim:
This session supports development of a culture of enquiry into student
education practice at the University by encouraging colleagues to engage
in scholarship.

Outcomes:
By the end of this workshop colleagues will be better able to:
• find the appropriate evidence to underpin practice
• become aware of the research and scholarship traditions in
teaching and learning practice and activity within their discipline
• engage in action research on their own teaching practice
• find support for further development in this area at the
University.

Content:
This is an interactive workshop which will include library support and
feature case studies of colleagues who have engaged in development of
their own practice and provide support for colleagues who wish to "get
started" with action-research.
