Description
Context:
Since 2015-2016, Schools have been encouraged to use e-submission where
it is practicable.

Aim:
This session will provide an opportunity to consider the benefits and
practicalities of e-submission, and marking and giving feedback online
as well as consider the workflow to successfully embed online marking
and feedback into your practice, taking account of the desktop and
mobile applications.

Outcomes:
By the end of the session participants will be better able to:

• Discuss the benefits and practicalities of e-submission, marking
and delivering feedback online ;
• Support student e-submission;
• Prepare to mark and give feedback online;
• Use online marking tools, including desktop and mobile
applications.
Content:
The session will involve presentation, demonstration, computer-based
activity and discussion.

Tutor:
Beth Snowden has worked in education and training since graduating from
York University. She spent several years teaching English in Japan,
Thailand and Australia in both the private and public sectors. She
became a Senior IT Trainer in Leeds before joining Bradford College as
the eLearning Facilitator within the staff development team. Her
responsibilities within SDDU are to motivate, train and support academic
colleagues and Postgraduate Researchers with Technology Enhanced
Learning in alignment with the University of Leeds’ Digital Strategy for
Taught Student Education and the Blended Learning Strategy.
