Description
Aim:
The session will help participants plan teaching sessions in order
to take account of the learning outcomes of the module/session and the
learning preferences and needs of students. The session will include
consideration of ways of facilitating and checking on learning together
with the design of learning resources that encourage and support
learning.

Outcomes:
By the end of the session participants will be better able to:
• Plan and execute sessions to facilitate and check on students’
learning
• Design Learning activities which promote student learning
• Reflect on a variety of student-centred factors that need to be taken
into consideration when designing learning activities
• Consider use of technology to support student learning and use of open
educational resources in session design

Content:
This is a 3 hour interactive workshop which uses group
activities as the basis of discussion about designing and planning
teaching sessions.
