Description
Course Overview:
Some people seem to have a natural ability to speak so that others want
to listen and to interact confidently with peers and those in more
elevated positions. But for most of us it’s not so easy to read a
situation, to interpret people’s behaviour or to gain their interest and
influence their thinking. Informal encounters, formal meetings,
networking events and interviews can all be daunting and frustrating.
Fortunately, we can learn how to feel more confident, to strengthen our
vocal and physical presence and to make our mark.
What we say matters, of course, but so does how we say it. If our
communication style is inadequate, our message is unlikely to be
remembered and may go unheard.

Course content:
This lively, practical course is a chance to explore how to speak so
that others want to listen and how to make an impact and win respect. It
will help you become a compelling and effective communicator. The course
will cover:

• Speaking about what you do in formal and informal contexts
• Developing confidence and presence
• Engaging and influencing others
• Networking at conferences and other events
• Finding and developing your natural communication style

The course will be run by VOX Coaching, a well-established company
providing practical communication-skills training in intelligent and
imaginative ways. The company works with universities, businesses,
government departments and the NHS. Its coaches are experts in helping
people to communicate in their own style – but with more skill and a
dash of inspiration.
